Course Details

This course aims to encourage an appetite for the game in young athletes by assisting them to accelerate their own progress and success. It will be led by an experienced Level 2 hockey coach who currently plays National League hockey with Cheltenham Hockey Club. This course is not suited to beginners; it is aimed at developing the skill level of individuals who have played more than one season of hockey and, in particular, those who are wanting to reach JAC/Performance Centre representation.

Course Notes

The inaugural Marlborough College Summer School Hockey Camp has been designed for the young player, aged 10-16 who wants more; whether you are a novice wishing to quickly improve before season starts or a junior international preparing for representative hockey.

The course is aimed at improving technical ability, tactical awareness and mental acuity by using the latest training practices, S&C expertise and evidence based research.

Hosted at the College, the attendees will benefit from the use of on-site facilities including the recently opened gymnasium, swimming pool and College smurf-turfs, as well as all the other benefits of the Summer School.

Please bring your own stick, wear astro-turf shoes and bring a gum-shield and shin pads. Other items such as water-proofs or sun-screen will be weather dependent.
