Course Details


New for 2019, the Outdoor Adventures team will be introducing The Dome! Ace the activities during the week to earn extra time in The Dome, where on Friday you will be competing as teams to collect the most gold pieces. Your time-scoring activities include climbing on the College's indoor wall, watersports such as sit on top kayaks and canoeing, navigating as a team through The Swamp and finally a day of mental, physical and skill challenges. All activities will take place within the extensive College grounds, supervised by qualified and experienced instructors ensuring maximum enjoyment and safety. No experience is necessary. However, a positive attitude and a willingness to get involved will increase the fun and enjoyment. Please bring a change of clothes, footwear, towel and your Summer School water bottle each day.

Course Notes


Activities:

  • Challenges - a variety of Mental, Skill & Physical Challenges, set in locations around the college grounds
  • Watersports Day - Canoeing & Raft Building on the Trout Ponds
  • Climbing on the college's Indoor Climbing Wall
  • The Swamp Challenge - a series of challenges through a muddy & wet swamp
  • The Dome - Grab as many golden tickets you can to win the weekly prize

 

What to Wear:

  • Lose fitting clothes (not jeans/cords) that you don't mind getting wet or muddy,
  • Sturdy footwear (not sandals) that you don't mind getting wet or muddy

What to bring each day:

  • Towel
  • A drinks bottle with water
  • Spare Top (Fleece or Sweatshirt)
  • Spare Bottoms (Tracksuit Pants)
  • Spare underwear and socks
  • Old Trainers/footwear
  • Sun lotion

 

If you own a wetsuit and wetsuit boots please bring them.

 

WE PROVIDE ALL SAFETY EQUIPMENT
