The School of English and Culture is committed to nurturing a truly global student body with the largest diversity of perspectives and backgrounds possible. As part of this objective, in 2018 we will be providing a limited number of scholarship opportunities for refugee teenagers living in the UK. This not only represents a fantastic opportunity for the successful applicants to join the course but will also be of immense benefit to the wider School of English and Culture student group.
The scholarship's patron, Ahmad Al-Rashid, was a huge part of the success of the inaugural year of the Open Minds course. Himself a refugee from Syria, he visited Marlborough to share his story and made a tremendous impact on the students. We are delighted to be working in collaboration with Ahmad to develop a scholarship scheme in his name that will create a life-changing experience for all students attending the course.
If you would like to find out more about Ahmad and his work with the Open Minds course, you can have a look at our PREVIOUS GUESTS page.
