Success at South West Tourism Awards 2017-18

The Marlborough College Enterprises Team are proud to bring home to Wiltshire not just one, but two, Silver South West Tourism Excellence Awards.

Marlborough College's annual multi-generational Summer School won Silver in the category of Artistic, Cultural and Learning Experience while the School of English & Culture won the Silver award for International Visitor Experience of the Year 2017/18.

The top organisations in the South West Tourism industry were celebrated at a ceremony held in the Arena at the Riviera International Conference Centre in Torquay on Thursday, 1 February. The event was hosted by BBC news presenter Victoria Graham, with an inspiring opening address by travel journalist and Chair of Family Holiday Association, Alison Rice. With a record of 647 entries for this year's Awards, we underwent a rigorous judging process which included a 'mystery shopper' visit.

Director of Enterprises, John Blake says he is delighted with the two awards. "For Summer School to achieve a Silver award for the second time and the School of English and Culture to win after only our second year of operation, is a wonderful reflection of all the hard work the team put in to giving our students the best experience possible. We are now looking ahead to summer 2018 and will be going for gold!”
