Morning Tuition
An immersive learning and cultural experience from one of the leading UK private schools.
The School of English and Culture runs two morning courses; Open English and Open Minds. Both courses are built on curiosity and creativity,as we believe that these concepts are fundamental to the learning process.
Both courses take an in-depth look at thought-provoking topics, exploring big ideas from new perspectives and helping students to develop their critical thinking skills through independent learning, collaboration, debate, and creative projects.
The Open Minds course explores one module over a period of two weeks and does not specifically focus on language tuition or acquisition, though it will, of course, include plenty of language practice. It is most suitable for high level or native speakers of English (Intermediate or above). This is an intellectually demanding course that will ask students to take ownership of their learning, focusing on their personal areas of interest and responding to the themes of the course to create a final project.
The Open English course is suitable for anyone who wants to challenge themselves creatively while continuing to hone their language skills. All students will be placed in an appropriate group for their language level, where they will explore thought-provoking topics that incorporate the input and practice of relevant grammar and vocabulary.
The syllabuses for both courses are designed by our highly qualified and experienced staff and are updated each year to ensure that the materials remain relevant and engaging to all our students, including those students who return each year.
